Career Highlights
Martin Rae has focused on real estate investments for several years. He has built and retained: a successful rental portfolio; developed land for new residential construction (Seattle, Bellevue, and unincorporated King County); invested in residential properties with commercial and multi-family zoning to support future development; and profitably renovated and sold several high end properties.
Prior to his real estate investment endeavors, Martin focused on numerous entrepreneurial enterprises. From 1994 to 2002, he held several executive roles in entertainment companies owned by John McCaw. From 1994 to 2002, he was the founder and CEO of Boss Game Studios based in Redmond. The studio was responsible for several international bestselling console games, including Top Gear Rally, Twisted Edge Snowboarding and World Driver Championship. Martin formed marketing, development and technical partnerships with Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, The Disney Corporation and KEMCO Japan, among others.
From 1994 to 1998, he served as Chief Operating Officer for Los Angeles, CA, based Boss Film Studios; the visual effects studio founded by four-time Academy Award winning filmmaker, Richard Edlund. While under his operating direction the studio produced effects for such films as Air Force One, Waterworld, Species, and Multiplicty.
Martin got his entrepreneurial start in 1987, working as the Chief Financial Officer for Microserv. The company provided computer and technical services to several large corporations in the Northwest, including Boeing, Battelle, and Westinghouse. Under Martin’s leadership, the company grew rapidly, twice earning a spot on Inc magazine’s “Fastest growing 500,” and garnering Boeing Computer Services prestigious “Vendor of the Year” award in 1992.
Education/Experience
Martin graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in Economics in 1982. He is a licensed real estate agent in the State of Washington.
