Professional Background

Brian started his real estate career in 1986 with The Sherwood Group, specializing in retail leasing and sales and facilitating over 50 transactions.

In 1990, Brian was hired by Krupp Realty (later Berkshire Realty), a $3 billion real estate company headquartered in Boston, as Director of Leasing for their Western States shopping center portfolio.  While at Berkshire, Brian increased occupancy rates from below 87% to more than 98%, negotiating more than 150 retail lease transactions, including anchor store deals.

Brian was hired in 1998 by Northwest Retail Partners to add his project leasing expertise to the company, and also garnered several national tenant representation assignments.

Since joining GVA Kidder Mathews in 2000, his strong retail leasing background has led into a successful retail sales career as well. Most recently, he was the sole broker representing Powell Development on the assemblage and acquisition of 40+ acres in Marysville for the 500,000+ Lakewood Crossing Power Center on I-5, anchored by Costco and Target.
