Representative Transactions

Mr. Jewett has completed a number of major transactions for Recreational Equipment, Inc. (REI), including site acquisition and intensive project team participation for a 30-acre, 470,000 square foot international distribution/mail order facility, plus acquisition of a 34,250 square foot cabinet shop.  Completed transactions for REI's manufacturing subsidiary, THAW Corporation include: the long-term lease and subsequent sublease of a 126,740 square foot manufacturing/distribution facility; acquisition, conversion and sale of a 90,838 square foot manufacturing facility; sale of a 70,000 square foot multi-story production facility; and several industrial leases totaling 90,000 square feet.

Other multi-transaction clients include:  leased a combined 223,491 square feet of distribution space for Food Services of America plus other related transactions; acquired a 106,480 square foot heavy distribution facility and sold a 67,974 square foot like-kind property for Rio Algom, Inc./Vincent Metal Goods; sold a 49,052 square foot multi-story manufacturing building and leased 37,500 square feet of light industrial space for Cork Insulation Company; originally leased 17,240 square feet to Leonards Metal, Inc.(LMI), later leased LMI a 84,720 square foot manufacturing building while selling their previous 47,074 square foot building for their former landlord.

Other significant transactions include:  a 20 acre build-to-suit project and subsequent 20 acre expansion for Puget Sound Auto Auction; disposition of a 53 acre industrial development site for Block Brothers USA, Inc.; and completed a 1031 tax free disposition of a 24,000 square foot distribution facility into the acquisition of a 44,950 square foot distribution facility for Golden International Foods.

Mr. Jewett currently represents Panattoni Development Company’s Rainier Park of Industry, a master planned 1.2 million square foot industrial park under construction in Sumner, WA, including a 150,000 square foot facility for Simmons Manufacturing Company, and represented Stowe Construction Company, the underlying owner of the 180-acre Sumner site.
