Career Summary

Michael Grainger has over 14 years of commercial property management experience (including construction management) with office, industrial and retail portfolios.

Prior to joining GVA Kidder Mathews, he worked as a Real Estate Manager for eight years with Louis Dreyfus Property Group, based in New York. He was responsible for the oversight of the Washington, D.C. management office that managed over 2 million square feet of Class “A” office and retail space.  Here he was responsible for the management of the SEC headquarters, a 1,070,000 sf property, in addition to the FDIC headquarters and several other downtown properties.

Mike was a member of DCBIA (District of Columbia Building Industry Association) and also a board member of the H Street Main Street that was formed by a grant from the city to clean up, improve safety and perform façade/building improvements to the H Street, NE corridor in Washington, D.C.

Mike graduated from Virginia Tech (Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University) in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business (Major: Marketing).  He holds a Washington Real Estate license and is currently working on obtaining his CPM® and RPA designations.
