Career Summary

Ms. Martinez has been in the property management field since 1983. She manages class A industrial, office, medical/lab, and retail properties and has extensive institutional management experience. Her portfolio also includes specialty assignments such as the Center for Urban Waters which obtained the LEED Platinum New Construction certification. Melinda is experienced in dealing with a variety of tenant types including large anchor tenants, corporate tenants such as Simmons Manufacturing, as well as the smaller incubator size tenants. Melinda also has construction management experience on tenant improvement and capital improvement projects. Her client base includes institutional level clients such as University of Washington, American Realty Advisors, and City of Tacoma as well as private investors.

Prior to joining Kidder Mathews, Melinda was with Colliers International as the onsite property manager for a 1.5 million square foot project located in Tacoma, Washington for JP Morgan Investment Management.

Melinda holds a B.S. in financial administration and a B.A. in business economics from Central Washington University. She holds the IREM Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation and BOMA’s Real Property Administration (RPA) designation as well as a Washington state real estate license. Melinda is involved with the local Building Owner’s and Manager’s Association (BOMA) and the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). She served a two year term as a BOMA South Puget Sound board member for 2006-2007.
