Career Summary

Michael (Mike) Grainger joined Kidder Mathews in August of 2006 as a senior property manager in the Seattle office. With over 25 years of multi-market experience with office, industrial, and retail assets, Mike brings extensive subject matter expertise to his clients and partners. Headquartered in Kidder Mathews’ Seattle office, Mike is responsible for the oversight of a diverse portfolio of urban-oriented assets totaling over one million square feet with 185 tenants. Mike oversees all aspects of the portfolio including client relationships and development, team leadership, lease administration, financial reporting, capital investment and construction management, and asset acquisition and disposition support. With his experience and service commitment to his clients and partners, Mike has a proven history of business retention and growth. During his tenure at Kidder Mathews, Mike has been instrumental in securing over 800,000 square feet of additional business from new and existing clients. Clients include public agencies, and private and institutional investors.

Prior to joining Kidder Mathews, Mike was a real estate manager with Louis Dreyfus Property Group in Washington, D.C., where he managed two million square feet of class “A” office and retail space including the SEC and FDIC headquarters.

As a shareholder in the firm, Mike is keenly focused on the financial performance of the assets he manages, effective collaboration with his Kidder Mathews partners, and profitability in the Property Management Services division.


Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, VA and is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Washington.
