William Burton has nearly thirty years of commercial real estate experience, and since 1998, his sales transactions combined total over $150 million and approximately 1.2 million square feet.
Bill moved to Kidder Mathews from Cushman & Wakefield of Oregon, Inc., where he was a broker in the Capital Markets Group. Additionally, Mr. Burton is a Certified Public Accountant with over 25 years experience in the commercial real estate market's private sector.
Prior to joining C&W, Bill was the CFO for City Center Parking, downtown Portland's largest commercial property owner. He also served as a consultant to Harsch Investment, a Portland-based real estate investment company, which owns and operates more than 100-properties in six western states.
From 1989 to 1996, Mr. Burton served as the Vice President of Finance for Commercial Securities Group, where he was responsible for managing a $100 million plus portfolio of commercial property in Oregon, California, and Hawaii. While at Commercial Securities, Bill secured over $80 million in commercial property sales. Mr. Burton's real estate career began as Assistant Controller for Mercury Development, the largest strip shopping center owner and manager in Oregon at the time.
Bill was educated at the University of Oregon, majoring in accounting and real estate. He completed his undergraduate work at Portland State University. He is a CPA and a member of the Oregon Society of CPAs, Oregon State Board of Realtors, and Washington Board of Realtors. Bill is licensed in Oregon and Washington.
