CLINTON, IA - Negotiations are continuing for the sale of a former hotel in Clinton.
The Best Western Frontier Inn, 2300 Lincoln Way, was the subject of an online auction running from Aug. 8 through Aug. 10, with an opening bid of $500,000. The 7.56-acre site has been vacant since 2014 after being used as a housing complex for Ashford University students.
A winning bid has yet to be settled, according to Howes and Jefferies Realtors agent Steve Howes. The property is now listed with Howes and Jefferies in an attempt to reach a settlement.
Previously, Kidder Mathews agent Darren Tappen said a settlement could potentially be reached within the next 30 to 45 days.
