Kidder Mathews hires

Northern Nevada Business Weekly

J. Michael Hoeck, Michael Nevis, Dave Simonsen and Steve Kucera have joined the industrial division for Kidder Mathews, a commercial real estate firm that just opened an office in Reno.

Hoeck was named senior vice president and managing partner, Nevis and Simonsen were both named senior vice presidents and Kucera was hired as vice president.

Hoeck began his career in commercial real estate with Colliers International in 1999, and joined Alliance Commercial in 2005 as a partner and a vice president of their Industrial Properties Group. He assumed the role as a senior vice president when Alliance Commercial became NAI Alliance in 2007. He also owned and operated an eight-store retail chain throughout the south and west, and spent seven years in residential real estate development.

Hoeck earned a bachelor's of science degree in management from Arizona State University.

Nevis previously worked for the Trammell Crow Company beginning in 2004 as an associate in brokerage services. In late 2006, Mike joined CB Richard Ellis and joined the Industrial Properties Group of NAI Alliance in January of 2011 as a vice president.

Nevis earned a bachelor's of science degree in agbusiness from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Simonsen, who has more than 26 years experience as a commercial real estate broker, began his career as a data bank coordinator for CB Richard Ellis in Walnut Creek, Calif. He transferred to the CB Richard Ellis' Reno office in 1990, where he became a leasing specialist in the industrial properties group.

Simonsen earned a bachelor's of science degree in economics from the University of California, Berkeley.

Kucera previously worked for commercial real estate companies Prologis, Jones Lang LaSalle in Denver, Cushman & Wakefield in Denver and Phoenix, and NAI Alliance, where he partnered with Hoeck, Simonson, and Nevis in the industrial division.

Kucera earned a bachelor's of science degree in business information systems from the University of Montana.
