A medical office condo on First Hill sold for $8.5 million, and Kidder Mathews said in a press release that the net proceeds will benefit the Foundation Fighting Blindness.
The full floor in Nordstrom Medical Tower was sold by an investor represented by Mike King and Erik Swanson of Kidder Mathews.
The condo was placed into a charitable remainder trust by the seller, who is blind and an active supporter of the foundation. The group promotes research to prevent and treat diseases such as retinitis pigmentosa, age-related macular degeneration and Usher syndrome.
Kidder Mathews said King and Swanson will donate a portion of their sales commission.
The 14,291-square-foot, full-floor condo connects to Swedish Hospital by a skybridge. The tenant recently signed a 10-year lease extension.
