After nearly two months on the market, Kidder Mathews has confirmed the Red Lion Hotel Bellevue is in contract to be sold.

The two-story Main Street hotel, built in 1969, offers 181 rooms and 5,700 square feet of meeting space. Kidder Mathews broker Jason Rosauer said he can't confirm the buyer at this time, but the sale is expected to close quickly.

"We selected a party that is pursuing the acquisition and it will be a very short timeline; a very credible buyer with a very credible capital source," Rosauer said. "I do know that it's going to be a hotel for the foreseeable future."

He added massive change is coming to that section of Bellevue. An East Main Station Citizens Advisory Committee to decide what type of transit-oriented development it wants to see east of 112th Avenue Northeast to complement incoming light rail services.
